Toot's Review by Stacy Sabala

In this quick novella, the reader meets Ree Hutchins who is a grad student.  She volunteers in a prestigious psychiatric hospital.  She has a favorite patient named Violet.  Unfortunately, Violet passes away in the beginning of the story and it changes Ree’s life forever.  She overhears shocking conversations and refuses to believe a ghost is following her.  She is a bit stubborn when it comes to believing in the supernatural and the possible bad in people.
Hayden is a ghost hunter and they meet by chance in a cemetery.  Talk about fate having a sense of humor.  He comes across extremely supportive and a nice guy.  His interest is peaked about the ghost by seeing his protective side shining through.  You pretty well know who the bad guy is off the bat, but you don’t know why.  So Ree is on a mission to find out what happened.  There are secrets galore hiding in this book.

You are also introduced to Amelia Gray.  This story really sets things up nicely for the beginning of the series.  It was a quick read but jampacked full of suspense, revenge, love and a ghost.  I give it a 3 out of 5.
