This is such a hard post to write but as we all know, life
happens, things eventually change and sometimes end. Such is with Toot’s Book
Reviews.
It is with a heavy heart that this is Toot’s Book Reviews final
post (although we will not close the official blog permanently, there’s still a
ton of great goodies on there that we’d hate to be lost forever)
Our first post was 8/24/2012 and over the years we have made
over 10,800 posts (just on the official blog. Couldn’t tell you how many we’ve
posted on various social media platforms - that might break my brain?). We have
interviewed numerous authors, book characters, and people in the book
community. We’ve had guest posts, giveaways and even had a few mentions in actual
books.
The wonderful ladies that have contributed to Toot’s along
the way have been the backbone of the blog and I honestly couldn’t have done it
without them all.
Blogging in the book community has obviously changed and
authors are moving to a more social platform. I think this is a wonderful
evolution and much needed for fans but the days of going to your favorite blog
and seeing what’s new isn’t where it’s at anymore.
We will continue to post here and there but for the most
part, the chapter that was Toot’s Book Reviews has ended.
Thank you all for a wonderful 9+ years and to all the
authors, a big Thank You for doing what you do and letting the fans be a part
of it.
