Book Blurb
Divine and Dateless by Tara West
Good girls go to heaven. Bad girls go all the way...
What can be worse than electrocuting yourself while getting ready for your internet date? Realizing the hot stud you’ve been fondling is the Grim Reaper? Being chased by a sex-crazed, bloated, naked corpse?
How about an eternity of more bad hair days and horrific dates? Or lusting after the one guy in all the afterlife whose hydrophobia rivals his fear of commitment?
Yeah, that’s a whole lot worse.

Toot's Review by Stacy Sabala
Ashley MacLoad was getting ready for her date with Roger the dentist when her blow dryer decided to give her an electrical shock. Her hair was ruined. Of course when Roger shows up early she is not ready. When she answers the door, the man standing on the other side is not Roger. He is a grim and Ashley is shocked to learn she is actually dead.
She is delivered to the penthouse level of heaven where she gets to see her grandmother and her uncle again. She also has been gifted a valet that meets her every need. It is definitely a perk for heaven. Of course it is short lived when a clerical error is fixed and she is supposed to be on level 2. Ashley is devastated and confused, but Grim informs her she is allowed to stay on level 13.
As Ashley tries to adjust to life in purgatory, she can’t believe the weirdness that she encounters. She also doesn’t know what to do about Grim. He confuses the hell out of her. Besides she makes horrible decisions when it comes to love. She doesn’t trust her judgment at all.
Then she has to start earning credits and has a job she hates thanks to her creditor she went to high school with. Nothing is remotely easy or going in a good direction. The afterlife is not better than her human life. She is furious with Grim for claiming it will be. However when her long lost childhood best friend shows up maybe things are looking up.
This book had a cool storyline for the first in the Eternally Yours series. I can’t wait to see what direction it goes especially with Ashley’s new job and her co-workers. However I hope she grows up more in this role. Her childishness and selfishness got to be a bit much reading through the plot. She drove me nuts most of the book. She and her libido were two of the most annoying parts of the story. I had a hard time relating to her or even liking her for that matter. I hope she has chilled for the next book. I give it a 3 out of 5.
