Book Blurb

Mirror, Mirror, on the wall,
Who is the Fairest of them all?

In the sequel to UnEnchanted, Mina Grime discovers that all is not fair when it comes to the Fae and their tales, especially when they don’t all play by the rules. Barely surviving the Story’s first fairy tale quest, Mina still has hundreds to go before she can end the curse on her family. But a new player arises to challenge Mina while new rules revamp the game she has just barely begun to understand.
All the while, people are mysteriously disappearing, including Jared, whom Mina must finally determine to be friend or foe. And with the loss of her greatest weapon, Mina must try to outwit a deadly hunter. Can Mina survive the most difficult quest yet while protecting those she loves from falling victim to one of the lethal tales of all? Or will she become a pawn when she strikes a bargain with the Queen of Fae?

Toot's Review by Stacy Sabala

Mina is back and trying to move on from what happened from the Little Red Riding Hood tale. Mina tries to watch Brody when she can get a glimpse of him. Her heart is broken. However she has decided that in order to prevent this from happening again, she has decided to keep her family curse to herself.

Nan worries about Mina and her behavior. She doesn’t remember what happened and has no explanation for Mina. Mina can’t focus and seems to be in her own world. Nan has no clue how to help her or even shake her out of her self imposed gloom.

Mina knows that the story is building for the next tale and it’s going to be a big one. She is trying hard to be aware so she can save the person the story chooses. Unfortunately Mina’s roll is not what she thought it would be. Jared tries to prepare her but everything starts to go wrong. It involves her friends and unleashes a Grimm reaper. Mina is in danger and she must make major sacrifices and dangerous bargains with Fae in order to complete the tale.

This series is becoming one of my favorites. It is such a unique storyline and I can’t seem to get enough. I have a soft spot of Mina and have completely invested in her character. I want her to succeed and get her happy ending. She is a great character.

The author provides another great story that centers around Mina and her quest to beat the tales. The story is different from the first and filled with fresh ideas. New things are introduced and Mina enters two huge tales. It was a wild ride and I can’t wait to see what Mina has to do next. I give it a 4 out of 5.
