Book Blurb
Cue Noah, my older brother’s best friend and the guy I’ve avoided since my crush-gone-bad days. And now my director thinks he’s the key to unleashing my creativity. He thinks Noah is my muse.
Discovering the fate of the theater is also in my hands, I have no choice but to collaborate with my worst enemy. But it’s more than just a great scene Noah inspires. Now everything I thought I wanted is put to the test. And the guy I swore I was over still has a hold on my heart.

Describe yourself in five words.
TAW: Fun, adventurous, neat, unorganized (my stacks are not in order), night owl
What is the best piece of advice have you ever received in your writing career?
TAW: You can’t edit a blank page. That is so true. Any sentence, paragraph, chapter or manuscript can be fixed. But it can’t be fixed if it isn’t written. Sometimes I get hung up on trying to get it right the first time (and I’d like to meet the person who does) that I hinder my own progress. It’s never right the first time or sometimes even the fifth or sixth time, but every draft is a learning process. It may not be something you ultimately keep, but it gets you one step closer to knowing your characters.
What was your favorite part of writing Fair Play?
TAW: My favorite part was writing the role-playing scenes. Playwright, Ashlyn Carter, is experiencing a bad case of writers block and she’s basically forced to team up with her nemisis, who also happens to be her big brother’s best friend, to work past it. The chemistry between the characters really came alive when they let down their inhibitions and pretended to be someone they weren’t.
Which actor/actress would you like to see playing the lead character(s) from Fair Play?
TAW: I love Isla Fisher. She’s gorgeous, funny and would make the perfect Ashlyn.
What is an unknown fact or fun trivia about Fair Play?
TAW: Fair Play was inspired by Dallas’s Fair Park district. It’s a very artsy, cool place that’s recently been revitalized. From that, Phair, Texas was born.
E-Books or Traditional Paper Books?
TAW: E-books. I love being able to buy with a touch while sitting in the backyard swing.
What are you working on now?
TAW: I’m working on the follow-up to Fair Play, tentatively titled Fair Bet. Same small town setting, only this story is about Jessica, Ashlyn’s BFF from the first book, and Thomas, Noah’s NYC cousin.
Is there anything else you’d like to tell us?
TAW: I’m currently under contract for five more books with Entangled Publishing’s Indulgence imprint. Two more Fair books and another brand new “guy” series inspired by a play on words. I’m super excited about all these books. The rest of 2013-14 promises to be hectic and exhilarating at the same time.
