Toot's Review by Stacy Sabala
This novella
is written from Eli’s point of view.
Most of it occurs when Ember has disappeared into the Otherworld and he
loses contact. He can no longer feel
her. He thinks she is dead. The author gives a quick view of how he feels
and what he goes through during that time.
Then there
is a jump where Eli has to rescue her in the warehouse. It is fun to read his thoughts and why he is
doing what he is doing. I love the
bickering between them.
The author
jumps to the scene in the police station when they first see each other. Ember is drawn to him and he figures out she
is Dae. He instantly hates her. It is where everything starts.
I like
seeing things from his point of view and was disappointed that it only really
carried snippets of those three times. I
was hoping for more. I thought there
would be more of a flow to the whole book.
However as I said, it just jumped around to deleted chapters from the
books. I liked reading them but nothing
as I expected when I purchased the book.
I give it a 3 out of 5.
