Book Blurb
Reality bites. Hard.
The last time Raven did “real” was sixteen months ago, when she spent one unforgettable night with the tattooed, impossibly sexy Nico, and then he disappeared the next day. Since then, she’s kept her guard up and her feelings to herself. She doesn’t have time for relationship drama when she’s busy searching for her long lost sister.
Nico hasn’t stopped thinking about Raven—her sultry curves, inked skin, and the fact that he ditched her after their night together. Now that they’re living in the same city, he knows this is his chance to make things right. What better way to prove to Raven he’s for real than helping her find her sister? But when the lines between right and wrong start to blur, putting his job on the line, Nico has to decide if the risk is worth the ultimate reward.

Toot's Review by Stacy Sabala
Raven has
moved from Toronto to be with her friends.
She is looking for a new job and her long lost sister, Rose. However the person she doesn’t want to see is
Nico. They hooked up in Aspen and really
connected. Raven put herself out there
and Nico promised not to hurt her. After
they parted ways he didn’t call like he claimed he would. Sixteen months later she is still hurt and
still thinks about him which makes her angry.
Nico knows
he made a mistake and has to earn her trust again. He decides to help her find her sister. He has resources. They work together to find her. He also invites her into his world where she
meets his family. Things move forward
and fast. They become inseparable.
Nico worries
about Raven and her sister Rose. Nico is
afraid how things are going to play out and Raven is going to end up hurt. Both Nico and Raven are trying to save their
families. Their relationship is shaken
as they go about things in a different way.
I liked this
book. The main characters are scarred
and troubled. Neither has had it easy
and both have dysfunctional families. I
love how Raven is tough and knows herself.
She is gritty, tattooed and not your normal heroine. This story is full of wrong turns and
mistakes. Yet the characters manage to
move forward.
This story
is realistic and nothing near a fairytale. There is disappointment, shock,
hurt, drugs and questioned integrity.
Nico and Raven are well matched with explosive chemistry. They were exactly what the other needed. There were major outside factors that
affected the relationship they were trying to build. It was a great read. Loved the characters. I give it a 4 out of 5.
