Toot's Review
AAAARRRRRRGGGGG!!!! Filthy 5, you damn piece of crack!!!! Why can’t I quit you???? Like any good drug dealer, Megan D. Martin gave us an extra long hit this time (approx. 126 pages) and then left us on a deserted cliff to ride out the high and low until the last installment of Filthy 6 which is only a month away!
Ok so enough with the druggie metaphors and on to the review……
In this installment of Megan’s Filthy series, we pick up right where we left off from Filthy 4. Faye has just been brutally attacked by her step-father and rescued by her step-brother. Seeing she’s the heroine (no pun intended), you know she survives. She winds up back in the hospital with her step-brother, Rhett, by her side. As she heals and tries to piece her life together, Rhett is starting to unravel. He is consumed by the horror he witnessed at the hands of his father. He’s also trying to deal with the constant nightmares of his sister and trying to find justice for the little girl he left behind all those years ago. All the while, fighting his feelings for the woman she’s become. Mix in some new friends, a girlfriend, a possible new love interest, oh and The Trial…… You have one hell of a new installment into the Filthy series.
Whether you’ve read the series or not, I honestly can’t say enough about this series. PICK THIS UP!!!! It’s very taboo, it’s dark, it’s twisted, it’s hard to read at times due to some very graphic nature but it is so freakin’ worth the ride!!!! It’s total crack for the mind. It has a strong heroine who has been through hell and back. A dumbass hero, that struggles with his morals and you just want to bitch-slap him across the page but you know in your heart he’s a good guy and the best man for our heroine…..uggggg but you still want to bitch-slap him. I was even asking myself if she’d be better off without him, LOL. Anywho, just get on this freakin’ train and read the series. You’ll love it!!!
*hands shaking* Ok now how long of a withdrawal do I have to endure until the last installment in the Filthy series, Filthy 6?
