Revenge is not always sweet…
Isabella Mumphrey can’t leave a puzzle alone. This time she attempts to use her anthropology knowledge to uncover who is stealing priceless artifacts from an Aztec Temple in Mexico City. She believes the discovery will prove her worth to the World Intelligence Agency.
Tino Constantine is also in Mexico City. He has infiltrated a drug lord’s organization to find enough evidence to not only prove the man’s illegal activities, but to bring him down for numerous deaths. Namely those of Tino’s family.
But when the love of his life, Isabella, strolls into his enemy’s home, Tino is challenged with the choice of saving her or fulfilling his revenge.

Toot's Review by Stacy Sabala
Tino is also in Mexico City trying to bring his enemy, the drug lord Garza, to justice. He is on a warpath to make Garza pay for the deaths of his family. He has infiltrated his home and placed in his employment. However, Tino is shocked when Isabella walks into Garza’s home. He doesn’t know she is an agent on an assignment. He is terrified to see her in his enemy’s home, but can’t acknowledge her or their covers will be blown. They are drawn into the world of drug trafficking and theft as the action takes them through the tunnels of Mexico City.
This was the second book in the series. The mystery and intrigue centered around Isabella is a likable read. I have read the first book and witnessed when Tino and Isabella met. The author continues with their complex relationship in this story.
Tino’s assignment is personal and Isabella knows that he can only focus on Garza. Their relationship has taken a back seat until they meet up again in Mexico City.
So the plot includes both their missions as they unfold, but also their relationship as they meet again. The twists and turns the author threw into the storyline continued the thrill of the series. Isabella’s and Tino’s relationship progressed in difficult situations. It was fun to see them triumph. I give it a 4 out of 5.
