Dance Club Scene
His mouth came to my ear. “Hey. Wanna dance?”
Mark pulled me to him. Our bodies joined, and we began moving together. His head came down and kissed the exposed part of my neck, and I tilted to the side to give him full access. The crowd had thickened and was pressing in on us. The pulse of the music drove us. We moved until we were both a hot mess, and neither one of us had said a word through multiple songs of the most hip-grinding, dirty dancing I had ever done.
After nibbling on my earlobe, Mark said, “Let’s say bye to the boys, and then I’m taking you home. I think all these assholes got the picture of whose bed you belong in.”
Turning to face him, I kissed him hard as his hands stroked my back. His leg went between my legs, and we started moving again. Our hot tongues danced with each as our bodies moved as one. We were both sweaty and hot. We were about to be a sexual explosion out here if we didn’t leave soon.
Pulling back barely, our lips still touching, I responded, “Now, all the girls who were hanging around, hoping for a shot with you, know who you’re taking to bed tonight.”
He grabbed my ass, bringing me closer to him, and it only increased my sexual need for him.
Mark bit my lip and then said, “I like you a little jealous. Let’s go before I lose my remaining bit of self-control.”

Hi Sam,
Thank you so much for stopping by Toot's Book Reviews and congratulations on having your story put to paper.
If you don't mind, may I ask you a few questions for your current and soon-to-be fans?
Of course, I’d love to.
Book....
First, for people who may not know you, Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I love to have fun and live in the moment. My friend Martin and I live for giving Wales a hard time who is the overprotective husband to my best friend, Allison. Through Wales and Allison is how I met Mark.
In your own words, tell us a bit about your book?
PROMISE ME is about learning to love and allowing yourself to believe in the promise of happiness.
How did you feel knowing you were getting your own book?
I was glad that Kristin told my story. Hopefully it helps those that have gone through similar situations realize the promise of love really does exist.
Have you read it or was living it good enough?
Living it was good enough. There’s some very painful parts of my past that have been dealt with in a healthy manner, but that’s where they need to stay…in the past that is.
What is your favorite scene in the book?
My favorite scene is any time Mark and myself are at mylake that I found when I was going through a hard time during my senior year. It was fitting so many important milestones happened there.
What's your least favorite scene?
Having to see Greg again…
On North Carolina....
In the book, you find yourself moving to North Carolina. Can you tell us about it?
Yes, I moved to North Carolina when Wales offered me a new position on his football team. It was a chance for me to have a new beginning and to leave behind bad habits that kept trying to creep to the surface.
What drew you to the town you settle in?
The football team. It was easier to live close to where I would be working.
Would you like to add anything about your story or clear anything up before we get into the personal questions?
I’m thankful that the journey of my life led me to Mark.
On Mark....
While in North Carolina you meet a man named Mark again, can you tell us about him?
He’s the quarterback for Wales team. He is one of the most patient caring men I know and he captured my heart.
For those who haven't read the book, how did you two originally meet?
We originally met in TRUST ME at a Vegas Gala. Allison had invited me to come along after my sorority party and I met Mark at the gala. I never realized how much my world was going to change from the encounter.
How long have you two known each other?
We knew each other about a year before we became exclusive.
How did you feel meeting Mark again?
I needed a release and sleeping with Mark was better than finding a sex club which I had used to mask feeling with my own feelings. Mark awoke something in me that had me craving more of him.
What's your favorite thing about him?
He never-ending patience.
Just between us and the millions of readers *winks*, what is the most annoying thing about Mark or something he might do that annoys you?
It’s hard when he shuts down as he’s processing like he did when the text from Adam came through. I need transparency and self-doubt starts trying to creep in my mind when things become murky.
If he was Ice Cream, what would his flavor be?
Chocolate. Without a doubt chocolate.
What would be your perfect date for the two of you?
I think our perfect date were the ones he took me on in the beginning. They were movie perfect.

Umm…let’s see.
- Wales has something arriving at his office this week that is sure to put him over the edge from Martin and myself.
- I sing in the shower on a regular basis.
- I tied Mark up last week before having my way with him.
Let’s see…what else.
- Oh, Allison and I are planning a girl’s weekend out which Wales thinks he’s going to talk his way into coming too with Mark. We’ll see if that happens.
- And lastly, Mark and I found out what we were having.
