Book Blurb
Tia and Will’s lives get flipped upside down when they’re voted Yearbook’s Biggest Flirts in this sassy novel from the author of Endless Summer and The One That I Want.Tia just wants to have fun. She’s worked hard to earn her reputation as the life of the party, and she’s ready for a carefree senior year of hanging out with friends and hooking up with cute boys. And her first order of business? New guy Will. She can’t get enough of his Midwestern accent and laidback swagger.
As the sparks start to fly, Will wants to get serious. Tia’s seen how caring too much has left her sisters heartbroken, and she isn’t interested in commitment. But pushing Will away drives him into the arms of another girl. Tia tells herself it’s no big deal…until the yearbook elections are announced. Getting voted Biggest Flirts with Will is, well, awkward. They may just be friends, but their chemistry is beginning to jeopardize Will’s new relationship—and causing Tia to reconsider her true feelings. What started as a lighthearted fling is about to get very complicated…
Toot's Review by Stacy Sabala
Tia Cruz is a smart girl that hates responsibility. She doesn’t do her homework and runs from anything she would be in charge of doing. She likes to have fun and refuses to have a boyfriend period.
One night at a party Will Matthews walks up and introduces himself. He is new from Minnesota and Tia’s friends send him out to meet her. She is instantly drawn to him. Hooking up with him was the plan after they met. Luck wasn’t on her side.
Tia is shocked to see Will the next morning at band practice vying for her drum captain position. She was glad to give it to him. In fact she had been stressing about it all summer. She is so relieved when Will ends up winning it.
Their friendship flourishes from there. They tease each other, having a good time. They definitely feel an easy going companionship. Yet with Tia’s rule, Will moves on to another girl.
Tia battles with herself. She has others asking why she keeps sabotaging herself. Her friend Sawyer sums it up for her. Unfortunately it could be too late to fix anything.
The book was fun to read. I loved their flirty relationship. Tia and Will seemed to have a lot of fun together. I could also see the depth of Tia’s character. I liked how the author portrayed her. Her life was complicated which made her a complicated girl. Her issues were obvious. Unfortunately no one could help her. It took someone she really wanted and could understand her to wake her up. I wanted to see her figure things out without losing Will in the process. I’m happy the author gave her a direction and some insight from the least likely source. I like that you can’t judge someone from what they appear to be. I give it a 4 out of 5.
