Review : With You (Tear Asunder 0.5) by Nashoda Rose (NA)

Book Blurb

Sculpt is an illegal fighter.

He’s also the lead singer of a local rock band.

No one knows his real name.

And from the moment I met him, he made me forget mine.

In order to convince Sculpt to give me self-defense lessons, I had to follow his one rule—no complaining or he’d walk. I didn’t think it would be a problem. I could handle a few bruises. What I hadn’t anticipated was landing on my back with Sculpt on top of me and my entire body burning up for him.

I tried to ignore it.

I failed of course. And having a hot, tattooed badass on top of me week after week, acting completely immune to what he was doing to my body—it was frustrating as hell, so I broke his rule—I complained.

Then he kissed me.

Author’s Note: This novella is Sculpt and Emily’s beginning and how they met. It is an extra and not required to be read before “Torn from You”. Their story and what happens to them is the novel “Torn from You”.

*Warning* Huge cliff-hanger. Like huge! But “With You” and “Torn from You” are released on the same day.*

Toot's Review by Stacy Sabala

Emily is determined to learn to protect herself and she knows that Sculpt can teach her. He is undefeated in the arena when he fights and he is a friend of Matt’s. She knows he is her best choice.

At first Sculpt has no desire to teach this mouse of a girl to fight. He can’t picture her hitting someone. However he can see her determination and strength so he decides to help her. The longer they spend together the closer they get. Sculpt can’t believe how lucky he is to have her and refuses to give her up. Just as things start getting serious Emily is ripped away from him.

This is the beginning of the Tear Asunder Series. It starts out as a sweet love story. Sculpt is this illegal fighter and falls for Emily’s soft heart. She tames the bad boy. The reader is introduced to an interesting cast of characters, Emily’s friends and Sculpt’s band members. Emily’s past is more upfront in this book than Sculpt. He continues to be more of a mystery. The reader learns how she came to live with Matt and Kat.

The relationship between Emily and Sculpt is hot and intense once it turns physical. Before then it is sweet and he protects her. The reader gets swept up in the passion the two share. It really sets the stage for what will happen next. I give it a 4 out of 5.
