Book Blurb
At least it did for me when Sculpt, the lead singer of the rock band Tear Asunder knocked me off my feet. Literally, because he’s also a fighter, illegally of course, and he taught me how to fight. He also taught me how to love and I fell hard for him. I mean the guy could do sweet, when he wasn't doing bossy, and I like sweet.
Then it all shattered.
Kidnapped.
Starved.
Beaten.
I was alone and fighting to survive.
When I heard Sculpt's voice, I thought he was there to save me.
I was wrong.
(It is highly recommended to read "With You" the novella first).
*Warning: This book contains some disturbing situations, strong language and sexual content. Over 18 years.
This is a love story with some dark elements. Dark contemporary romance. No cliffhanger and next in the Tear Asunder series is Ream's story (the band's lead guitarist).
Toot's Review by Stacy Sabala
Emily has been kidnapped and has no idea who took her or where she is. She panics but has hope that Logan, Matt and Deck will find her. She keeps the hope until Logan shows up and is apart of the group that kidnapped her. He allows them to beat her and torture her. She is shattered. She can’t believe he is not helping her. In fact he delivers her into the hands of Raul who deals in human trafficking.
Raul gives her to Sculpt as his sex slave. Sculpt is expected to train her and win his next fight or she will be sold to the highest bidder. Emily has to survive.
This book is shocking and intense. It is not for the faint hearted. With that being said it was an awesome story. I was pulled in instantly and couldn’t put it down. My disbelief was as ever present as Emily’s. At first you have no idea what to believe. You question whether it was a set up or were Logan’s feelings real.
The author did a fabulous job showing the dark world of human trafficking. You realize more how quickly it happens and how cruel the world becomes. It is an extremely dark subject matter but a good read. I give it a 4 out of 5.
