Ladies of Toot's : An Interview with Stephanie Silva

Interview
with
~*Stephanie Silva*~

Hi ladies of Toot's Book Reviews!!!

I thought it would be fun for our followers to get to know you all a bit better? I did a review for the blog for our 1 year blogiversary and boy was it difficult but I learned a lot. I thought for a special holiday pressie, I'd interview my co-reviewers, so people get to know you each individually better. *I know, I'll get a lump of coal this Xmas!*

So here we go Stephanie!!!

First, for people who may not know you, can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

I am 19 year old college student. On my free time I love to read romance novel (paranormal, military, contemporary, sport, etc.), listen to music and write as well.

How long have you been with Toot's Book Reviews?

Just a few months but I want to be a part of the team for many years to come

What's your role with the blog?

I am a reviewer and I want to take this chance to say thank you to all the wonderful authors that allowed me to read and review their novels.

In your own words, tell us a bit about your blog?

It is a place where authors from many genres can send their books and get an honest review. We want to share their wonderful stories with all our readers because at first people don’t tend to take chances with new talents unless it is recommend it. So we want to tell our readers an honest opinion of the books in order to help them embark themselves into the journey full of romance, intrigue, action and comedy.

How did you become a blogger/reviewer?

I offered the blog my services as the reviewer and the lovely Carey and Melissa accept me in their team.

What is your favorite part of being a blogger/reviewer?

I get to read amazing stories and share them with the readers. I believe every person has a story to tell and all stories deserve to be heard.

What's your least favorite part?

That would be the deadlines. Sometimes because of school, exams and other things it is difficult to get the reviews done in time for them but I do the best I can.

How long have you been blogging/reviewing?

Not much. I started to do so when I joined Toot’s Book Reviews.

Can you tell us about one of your most memorable moments of being a blogger/reviewer?

The first review I made. I was so into the story that I felt as if I was there. It was the author’s first published book so he kept asking about my thoughts on the characters and the plot almost every day. I felt so special because not only was I his first reviewer but I also felt that I was helping someone with my comments.

Besides the blog, what other things do you do to show your love of reading (i.e Street Teams, Book Events, Book Groups, other blogs)?

I attend to Book Events on FB and also belong so some street teams for indie authors such as Patricia Macias, Brandy Rivers (Author of the Others of Edenton) and Abby and Missy (Authors of the Sinners Series).

Has being a reviewer/blogger helped you personally or professionally in anyway?

It has. I had developed my writing skills and expanded the genres I read. I still prefer romance novels but I learned to appreciate different genres.

Did you do research into reviewing/blogging or did you jump right in?

Lol, I jumped right in. I do love to right so I felt as it would come to me naturally.

Any suggestions for would-be bloggers/reviewers?

Never ever take any books to review a few days before the due date since you are probably not going to be able to meet the deadline and enjoy the read. Every story is a world whose key was entrusted to you.

Personal......

If your blog was Ice Cream, what flavor would it be?

I think we have variety so it should probably be Neapolitan.

Where do you see your blog in 3 years?

I feel it would be a place where not only many new talents but also famous authors would send to their novels because they trust we will review honestly and promote successfully their work, the children of their minds and imaginations.

What is your fondest memory involving books?

The first time I read Jamie McGuire. Oh my, after that my interest in books went to a whole new level and I started to read many different subgenres.

What do you do to unwind and relax?

Listen to music and read romance novels. I also love to watch movies.

If you enter book giveaways, what's the best prize you've personally won?

A paperback

What's the worst?

Simple swag, I guess.

Lastly, what are 5 things fans don't know about you or the blog?

Lol that’s a little difficult to say since I just started as a reviewer. Probably what they don’t know are the people behind the reviews. We all have school or jobs and have to balance our time to make the reviews because we know awesome stories deserve to be shared and we want to be the voice that tells the world the birth of new writers and the progress well known authors.
Thank you so much for letting us into your head and for being apart of Toot's Book Reviews!
We'd be no where without you ladies!!!
