Toot's Book Review

Linda does it again. Kiss It Better is a wonderful CR by the lovely Linda Kage. Like all of Linda's stories, it's peppered with fabulous everyday characters that jump off the pages.

Reed is the classic tortured hero, bad boy, new advertising exec in the making. He lives with his BFF roommate Nic, who just so happens to be dating Reed's sister as well. Under Reed's polished exterior, Reed is hiding a deep emotional scar, marred by a very ugly childhood as well as dealing with his sister's rape. He's totally not in the best place to find love or even have a healthy relationship (are they ever?). But Fate is a fickle bitch and along comes Sophia. She's a co-worker of Reed's and she definitely has an interest in him. She thinks he's got the right stuff for a lasting relationship until she gets to know him and finds out how damaged he really is. Dammit, she just wants a nice normal guy!

I really enjoyed this story but come on, what story by Linda Kage do I not love? She has quickly become one of my favorite authors. Her stories and characters are always unique, well rounded and are always amazing. Kiss it better at it's heart is a story of 4 very emotionally injured people whom find healing in their mutual friendship and love with one another. If you love CR, give Linda a try, you won't be disappointed!

Linda grew up on a dairy farm in the Midwest as the youngest of eight children. Now she lives in Kansas with her husband, toddler daughter, and their nine cuckoo clocks. She works a day job in the acquisitions department of a university library and feels her life has been blessed with lots of people to learn from and love. Writing's always been a major part her world, and she's thrilled to finally share some of her stories with other romance lovers.
