The toughest captain on the East Coast, single father Rick Roman has come thousands of miles to San Gabriel to put an end to the "Bachelor Firemen" media hype. But when a stunning woman he nearly hooked up with in Reno turns out to be a firefighter from his new station, Roman realizes it's going to be tough keeping the tabloids at bay.
But there's even more Sabina isn't telling him. Before dedicating her life to battling blazes, Sabina led a very different life, one that made her famous. The last thing she wants is to have her secret exposed. The papers, bloggers, and TV gossips will have a field day with that—especially when they sense the obvious sexual heat between Sabina and Chief Roman, who's torn between firing her...and falling in love with her!

Toot's Review
Sex and the single fireman is another super fun installment
in the Bachelor Fireman series by Jennifer Bernard. This series has a wonderful
twist in the CR genre. Basically the premise of the series is that there is a
curse on the San Gabriel Fire Station. Each fire person is doomed to stay a bachelor
while working under its roof.
In this installment, super sexy, super single father, super
strict and super cook Rick Roman has been brought in to whip this station into
shape. With everyone knowing about the curse, the media has taken an interest
in all the goings on at the fire station and the powers that be are not happy
about it. They want the media storm under control and they believe tough as
nails Roman is their man for the job but little do they know, there's a ticking
time bomb that will put the curse to shame in their midst. Roman is unprepared
and totally caught unawares when he meets fire person Sabina while driving
through Reno on his way to the station. When Sabina and Roman meet, it's
explosive!
I am actually ashamed that I thoroughly enjoyed this book
but in a good way. I was supposed to be reading another book on my Ereader and
had a second book loaded on my iPod while I was on a business trip. I brought
this book as a paperback, so that when the plane took off, I had something to
read that wouldn't interfere with the electronics of the plane. I really had
not intention of getting involved with this book in between the others that I
truly had prior commitments too. As the plane took off, I cracked the book and
as soon as I read the first few pages, Sex and the Single Fireman completely
took me over. After that, during the
whole business trip, I was completely and utterly consumed by this book. I was
even reading it during a presentation, hoping that the reading gods were on my
side and I wouldn't get fired for not paying attention to the very expensive
presentation that my company had flown me in for. I totally gobbled it up in
just two very sleepless days *please don't ask me what my business trip was
about because I probably couldn't tell you, LOL* Needless to say, I absolutely loved this book!!! The men are
hot, the women competent and the chemistry is sizzlin'!

Author Bio
With the publication of New York Times bestselling author Rachel Gibson's first book, readers discovered one of contemporary romance's freshest voices. Four of her novels were named among the Top Ten Favorite Books of the Year by Romance Writers of America. She has won numerous awards, including Borders Bestselling Romantic Comedy, National Reader's Choice, and two RITA® Awards for the Best Single Contemporary Romance Title of the Year. Candis Terry was born and raised near the sunny beaches of Southern California and now makes her home on an Idaho farm. She's experienced life in such diverse ways as working in a Hollywood recording studio to chasing down wayward steers. Only one thing has remained the same: her passion for writing stories about relationships, the push and pull in the search for love, and the security one finds in their own happily-ever-after. Jennifer Bernard is a graduate of Harvard and a former news promo producer. The child of academics, she confounded her family by preferring romance novels to . . . well, any other books. She left big city life for true love in Alaska, where she now lives with her husband and stepdaughters. She's no stranger to book success, as she also writes erotic novellas under a naughty secret name not to be mentioned at family gatherings.
