Hard work alone does not guarantee a positive result. In fact, pushing forward with determination and effort when things are not going as planned usually only makes a bad situation worse. Energy – not action – is the source of all manifested things, and The Desire Factor is the definitive guide to achieving energy mastery.
The Desire Factor provides one of the most current, comprehensive, and easy to apply explorations into the realm of energy, and shows readers how – by purposefully calibrating the energetic frequency of their dominant thoughts, moods and expectations – they can bring any desire into physical form.
The book is built around 7 universal principles, each of which assists readers in connecting with and deliberately harnessing the divine energy stream that sources all things.
- The Principle of Alignment
- The Principle of Focus
- The Principle of Joyful Expectancy
- The Principle of Having
- The Principle of Loving
- The Principle of Surrender
- The Principle of Action
Each principle builds upon the last one, and together, they provide a clear path – not just toward the manifestation of objects, experiences and conditions you desire to create in each important area of your life – but toward the personal evolution your desires are guiding you to embrace.

Christy Whitman has created the definitive guide to letting your desires guide you to fulfillment. Whether or not you believe in God—or any type of Creator-- this book calls on you to consider the idea that your desires and wants are the divine speaking through you. Now, this applies to both big and small desires. In fact, one of the great features of this book is Whitman's reassurance that wanting things, even small things, is not a sin and not something that people should be shamed of.
A lot of times people (particularly women) can be thought of as shallow for desiring fancy clothes or expensive haircuts, but Whitman insists that the belief that desiring material things is bad stems from the idea that we are never going to be able to receive those things. That we are not destined for “the good life.” She insists that these desires are as valid as any other and that they are just as useful to bringing forward our true greatness.
Whitman has seven principals that she discusses in the book as things that she believes help the quest for seeking and empowering your own desire. These principals are things like, “The Principal of Focus,” “The Principal of Loving,” and “The Principal of Action” and each section is well thought out and easy-to-read.
I love a self-help book that doesn't feel all doom and gloom and this certainly fit that bill for me!
Q: Please tell us something about The Desire Factor that is not in the summary. (About the book, character you particularly enjoyed writing etc.)
A: One of the
most enjoyable, and really magical, aspects of writing a book is watching how
the universe seems to conspire to provide the perfect examples to illustrate
whatever information I’m intending to get across.
All of the stories about my
success in working with these principles – as well as the success that my clients
and friends have experienced using these techniques – are 100% factual, and
many of these experiences unfolded within the yearlong period of time that I
was writing the book.
For example, my girlfriend Brenda
used energy work and specifically a process I call “feeling forward,” to
transform her previously contentious relationship with her father. A coaching client, who I refer to in the book
as ‘Nick,’ overcame a career-long habit of trying too hard to make things
happen and manifested several meaningful firsthand experiences of the universe
working on his behalf to line up the very connections and opportunities he was seeking. And of course, throughout my 25+ years of
working with these energy mastery techniques, I have created results that seem
miraculous to those who don’t yet understand the mechanics of deliberate
creation. I included all of these
stories in the book, in order to provide real life practical examples of how
our thoughts really do become things.
Q: What writers have you drawn inspiration from?
A: Marianne
Williamson and Dr. Wayne Dyer are two of my favorite all-time authors, and
their teachings showed up in my life about 25 years ago, during a pivotal time
in my own life when I was just beginning to learn about
metaphysics.
Q: How long did it take you to complete?
A: It took a little over a year to complete The Desire Factor. As is common with the creative process, the
book went through several different outlines and iterations before I finally
found the structure that would deliver the message in the most powerful way.
Q: Tell us
about your cover. Did you design it yourself?
A: I wanted the cover
to include a lot of color movement because the book is all about energy
mastery. My publisher provided some
different options to choose from, which incorporated some beautiful artwork
that I really resonated with. As my
husband Frederic and I were looking through each design, he came up with the
idea of listing some common things that people desire – things like prosperity,
vitality, freedom, abundance, etc. – and embedding those words within the
artwork. It was a great idea and I love
the final result.
Q: What was your first job?
A: My first job was a working as a sales person
at The Gap.
Q: What
are you currently working on?
A: Right now, most of my focus is on preparing
for the release of The Desire Factor
in April of 2021. I have also developed
a Desire Factor coaching certification course for those who want to become
trained to incorporate energy mastery principles into their coaching practices.
