Toot's Review by Stacy Sabala
Ashley
inherited a pub in England from her aunt.
She is special in the fact that she can see and talk to ghosts. Of course, her whole life up until then has
been her trying to suppress her gift.
Now she has a pub full pf them and something dark behind a door in the
basement. Then this arrogant man shows
up trying to get her out of her house.
She refuses of course, and the fight seems to be on.
Cristian is
a warrior that has been sending ghosts to the other side for centuries. He knows of the evil that lives in Ashley’s
basement. He knows what her gifts are
and what she really is. She is a seer,
his seer. He is a fine male specimen but
extremely bossy. Ashley must fight her
instant attraction and learn what everyone is keeping from her.
I hate the
fact she refuses to accept her gifts and who she is. It irritates me how she ignores it, hoping it
will go away. She needed to grow a
backbone and step up. She does in the
end finally, but I didn’t like her most of the book. Camille was my favorite female. She was willing to help no matter what.
I liked the
storyline where the ghosts are seen and heard.
I also like the demon in the basement.
There is a lot of secrets in this story that eventually come out. Most are kept because of Ashley’s
attitude. She gets mad that no one will
tell her about her father. Her reaction
when she learns explains why they didn’t want to tell her in the first place.
The ending
is just a temporary fix. So you know the
story will continue and it will be interesting to see where the author takes
it. I give this book a 4 out of 5.
