Toot's Review by Stacy Sabala
This novella
was a quick read that involved Jeanne who is in love with Eric. He refuses to marry her even though they love
each other. She is left in a worse
situation as she is carrying his child. Eymer
steps in and agrees to marry her. He
overheard the conversation about marriage, especially after she admits there is
a child to Eymer.
I like
Eymer. He seems like a wonderful man to
marry a woman in Jeanne’s predicament.
It’s sad that communication or lack there of comes between Jeanne and
Eric in the first place. Both are
extremely stubborn. They wasted a year
and a half.
I like how
Eymer made plans to make things right after he died. He made Jeanne promise to fulfill his dying
wish. I wish it was a longer read so the
author could really dive into what truly happened and give more specifics about
the three people represented in this story.
I love this author and the idea of this storyline was a good one. I just think it was too short and it wasn’t
as developed as I would have liked. I
give it a 3 out of 5.
