Toot's Review by Stacy Sabala
Lyric lives
with her mom and dad. She is completely
into music and everyone likes her. She
and her parents live next door to their best friends the Gregorys. The Gregorys have welcomed three adopted
children into their home. They are
welcoming a new person into their home and Lyric is less than thrilled to be
going through the whole process again.
Ayden is the
new addition and he is extremely quiet but a bit intimidating. He is very troubled and has a horrific past
that he can’t remember. I love how Lyric
decides getting him to smile is now her mission. She also has his back and stands up for
him. The author creates a sweet
relationship between the two. You see
this emerging friendship as Ayden comes out of his shell.
Ayden starts
to remember bits and pieces and he is determined to find his brother and
sister. The author makes his past come
between Lyric and him. His feelings
scare him, and he panics. Yet she is the
only one that can get close to him.
Their relationship is difficult but well worth the ride. I loved this story, but it was a short
one. I really want to read the next one
to see what happens next. I give it a 5
out of 5.
