Book Blurb
Medea was born the granddaughter of the Greek god Apollo, and among the first of his people that he cursed to die. But she will not let anyone rule her life. Not even her notorious grandfather. And when Apollo sends a new plague to destroy what remains of her people, she refuses to standby and watch him take everything she loves from her again.
This time, she knows of a secret weapon that can stop the ancient god and his army of demons. Once and for all. However, said device is in the hands of a dragon who wants nothing to do with politics, the gods, humanity, demons or Greek Apollites. And especially not her. He is the immovable object.
My enemy’s enemy . . .
When Apollo makes a strategic move that backfires, he forces Falcyn back into play. Now Medea either has the weapon she needs to save her people, or she’s unleashed total Armageddon. If she can’t find some way to control the dragon before it’s too late, Falcyn will be an even worse plague on the world than the one Apollo has set loose. But how can anyone control a demonic dragon whose sole birthright is total destruction?

Toot's Review by Stacy Sabala
Falcyn Drago
is an angry dragon. He blames his
brother for losing his son. He is also
the oldest of his kind and everyone is after his dragon stone. He gets dragged into the war with Apollo when
Medina enters the picture. She needs a
dragon stone to save her people from the disease that Apollo gave to the whole
population of her people. Falcyn is
drawn to her. She is strong and a true
fighter. Her past loss tugs at his
heart. She understands how he feels.
They work
together against Apollo and Morgana. Falcyn
learns his son is alive as is his sister.
He, Medina, and a few others set off to save them. Falcyn and Medina have to learn to trust each
other and the others they are with.
Medina fears the feelings Falcyn stir in her. She doesn’t want to be hurt that way ever
again when she lost her husband and son.
It is the reason she is what she is today. Yet Falcyn proves over and over that he has
her back and will protect her. He is
slowly tearing down her walls.
She also
knows what he needs. She is determined
to support him when he needs it. She
refuses to let Apollo and Morgana get Falcyn’s dragon stone or keep prisoner
the one he loves. The fight is on.
I love this
series and this author. Falcyn has been
a mysterious character. The author hasn’t
revealed much about him or why he is so angry until now. The history he has had shed light on his
attitude now. No wonder and quite the
shock too. Finding out who and what he
really is was not what I expected.
Neither was who he was paired with.
Medina is not one of my favorite character in stories past. However, you come to understand her much
better in this book. You are shown a
more human side of her. The two bond
over their losses and tragedies. They
seemed to make more sense together as the story moves forward.
Medina is
pretty bad-ass and I decided I liked her a lot in this book. She is a good guy instead of the
villain. She truly kicks butt. She is joined by Falcyn, her brother and
Falcyn’s nephew. This small group is
determined to save those they can. They
pick up a couple of strays along the way.
It was a great story and addition to the
series. I’m interested to see what
happens next with these two. You know
they will continue to do things their way as they did throughout the whole story. I give this book a 4 out of 5.
