Book Blurb
Passion melts the will of an ice-cold criminal when he meets the one woman who can tame the beast inside him.
Leopard’s Fury
With her own bakery in San Antonio, Evangeline Tregre made a new life far from the brutal lair of shifters she was born into. Though she is all too aware of her leopard-shifter blood, she never felt the sensation of a wild animal stirring inside her. Not until Alonzo Massi walked into her bakery. The powerful shifter is as irresistible as he is terrifying, but his icy demeanor tells her to keep her distance.
Alonzo knows better than to let himself get involved with someone like Evangeline. She doesn’t deserve the type of danger that follows him, or the threat of his Amur leopard. But even with his lean muscle and iron will, Alonzo isn’t strong enough to stay away from the one woman who can make him feel at peace. And when their secret lives draw a mortal threat, Alonzo unleashes the feral passion he keeps pent up inside himself.

Toot's Review by Stacy Sabala
Evangeline
Tregre escaped her lair and is living on her own. She owns her bakery and her house. She works hard for what she has and is happy
to have it. One day her past comes back
to pull her back in. Robert Lenoux walks
into her bakery to persuade her to go back home. She escaped once and refuses to go back. She tells him as much. He refuses to take no for an answer. Evangeline is saved as a stranger enters her
shop. He is a dangerous man and she
knows the type. His ice blue eyes miss
nothing but show no emotion. Robert
leaves her shop for now.
Alonzo Massi
entered Evangeline’s bakery and interrupted the confrontation. He returned three times a week for two
months. He did the same things every
time he came in. When Robert came again,
Alonzo was soon there to take care of him.
Evangeline knew he was dangerous and not what she wants, but she
couldn’t help how attracted she was.
Alonzo can’t
stay away but knows he doesn’t deserve her.
However his leopard becomes calm around her. He is not strong enough to walk away. When his life spills into hers, he has to do
everything he needs to protect her.
I love this
author. She is one of my favorites. I was extremely excited to read this
book. The author didn’t disappoint. I instantly loved Evangeline. She was independent and strong. Her history is dark and horrible. No one really knows who she is or where she
is from. She went after what she wanted
and is a success.
Alonzo’s
life has also been dark and horrible. He
has left his home and became a success in the world he now lives. Both characters are more than what they show
to the world. Multi-faceted with walls
surrounding them to keep them safe and sane.
I love how they meet and how their relationship evolves. It’s not an obvious chase and
flirtation. It is fun to watch them come
together, fighting it along the way.
There was a lot of suspense and fighting. The story was fast moving and I couldn’t put
it down. It was a great read. I give it a 4 out of 5.
