Book Blurb
Perfect for readers of Susan Mallery and Rachel Gibson, Molly O’Keefe’s gritty and sensual tale of passion and politics features the brother of the heroine from the author’s beloved novel,Never Been Kissed. He’s a driven man who refuses to be distracted—until he meets a beautiful bartender who just may change his life.
With his chiseled jaw and his thick blond hair, Harrison Montgomery was born to lead. Four generations of Montgomery men have served the state of Georgia and now he’s next in line. Harrison, though, is driven to right wrongs: namely to clean up the political mess left by his father’s greed and corruption. But Harrison must first win his congressional bid, and nothing can get in his way—not even an angel who served him whiskey and gave him a shoulder to lean on and a body to love for a night. Problem is, she’s pregnant. Scandal is brewing and there is only one solution: marriage.
Damage control? Ryan Kaminski can’t believe that a cold, calculating political animal now inhabits the body of the emotionally vulnerable stranger who’d given her the most unforgettable night of her life. Really, she doesn’t want anything from Harrison, except to be left alone to have her baby in peace. But Ryan is broke, jobless, and essentially blackmailed by Harrison’s desperate family to accept this crazy marriage deal. For two years, she will have to act the role of caring, supportive wife. But what is Ryan supposed to do when she realizes that, deep in her heart, she’s falling in love.

Toot's Review by Stacy Sabala
Ryan is tending bar when the attractive man they nicknamed Ken Doll arrives for the third day in a row. This time is different though. He seems incredibly sad. Ryan is drawn to Ken, aka Harry, and his melancholy. She finds he is having trouble with his little sister.
After a night of passion with Harry, her life changes. She loses her job and discovers that Harry is really Harrison Montgomery. He is running for Congress and finding out who he is shocks her. When the world finds out about her, thanks to her brother, Harrison shows up on her doorstep with an offer. She is both drawn to and insulted by his offer. In the long run she has no choice but to accept. She enters Harrison’s world of politics and the group of vipers known as his family.
Ryan is determined to fulfill her part of the agreement but keep her heart safe. Of course we all know the best laid plans don’t always work the way we want.
I liked this book a lot. Harrison and Ryan were both damaged goods. Neither knew what to do. One knew nothing about love and the other was always constantly searching for it until it ruined her life. The baggage that accompanies these characters is pretty extensive.
However, Ryan flourished in the world of politics. She felt like part of a team and embraced it. They were exactly what the other needed. They had to get passed their stubbornness in order to realize it. It was an emotional ride and the author did a great job of opening complicated family relationships and showing how they could truly affect your future. I give it a 4 out of 5.
