Book Blurb
Colleen Hoover, the New York Times bestselling author of Maybe Someday, brilliantly brings to life the story of the wonderfully hilarious and charismatic Warren in a new novella, Maybe Not.
When Warren has the opportunity to live with a female roommate, he instantly agrees. It could be an exciting change.
Or maybe not.
Especially when that roommate is the cold and seemingly calculating Bridgette. Tensions run high and tempers flare as the two can hardly stand to be in the same room together. But Warren has a theory about Bridgette: anyone who can hate with that much passion should also have the capability to love with that much passion. And he wants to be the one to test this theory.
Will Bridgette find it in herself to warm her heart to Warren and finally learn to love?
Maybe.
Maybe not.

Toot's Review
Colleen Hoover’s new novella Maybe Not is the follow up to her wonderfully unique NA Contemporary Maybe Someday. For those who haven’t read Maybe Someday, Colleen does a great job setting up the story, so you can read Maybe Not without being too lost. It takes place parallel to the timeline of Maybe Someday and a lot of the same situations that were present with all the characters in the first book are shown in this one as well.
To give you some insight into the story, Maybe Someday (the first book) is about a very unique musician, his roommates and possibilities. He lives with 3 roommates, one is his BFF, one is his brother and one is a very angry girl. When we meet the BFF and girl in the first book they are at each other’s throats and constantly bickering but even though they weren’t the prime focus of the story you could feel the heat between the two coming off the pages and readers were dying to learn more of the volatile couple. So Colleen being the fab writer she is gave it to us! So Maybe Not is their story.
Like I said, BFF, Warren is currently the manager for the up and coming group as well a blatant freeloader while the group tries to get off the ground. He’s very protective of his guys and works really hard at helping them. One day, he’s told and rudely shown that a girl is moving in and he has absolutely no say about it. Well that’s just not going to work for Warren, who decides it’s his mission to make her life hell while she’s there or sleep to with her, he hasn’t decided which until he realizes he’s met his match. She is probably the meanest girl on the planet and wouldn’t you know it, he likes him some mean girls. She not only stands up to him but dishes as well as she takes. Warren doesn’t know what’s hit him! That is until he starts to peel back the layers and realizes that there are major reasons for her angst. While most of the human population would just throw in the towel and give up on her, he makes it his personal mission to figure her out and get to really know the girl that no one wants, even if she doesn’t want him.
Although this is a short story, I loved it but then again I loved the first book too! I was more than thrilled to dive back into this world and read more about the characters that captured my heart. It had just the right mix of fun, flirty, reminiscing and mystery to suck you in right away. These two are perfect for each other and it’s a very different relationship then we are used to in a NA. They banter, fight and jocky for position in the relationship but through it all, you feel the love they have for each other. He gets her and she’s trying as best she can.
All in all, pick this little gem up, you won’t be disappointed.
