Toot's Review by Stacy Sabala
Allison is trying to find a way to help her mother. She has been diagnosed with Schizophrenia but in reality she has an addiction to the Danaan of Fae. Her father to be more precise. Her father was human but coveted by Aoife, a Danaan. She placed a spell to keep Allison’s mother and father apart.
Liam, Allison’s father, has learned of her existence and moved to the human realm to be near his daughter and the love of his life. His abilities, like the Danaan, developed while in Tir Na N’ `Og. Aoife is trying to stop Liam by binding him to her.
Liam, Allison and her boyfriend Ethan are racing against time to stop her. They travel to Tir Na N’ `Og to see the queen and form a plan. Halloween night is the targeted time they have to stop Aoife. Saving her father is the only option Allison has. She needs him to save her mother.
This book is part of a series. Allison has already been introduced to the Danaan and fought Aoife. She had to save Ethan. That is referenced in this book. I would definitely read the previous book so you know everything before reading this one.
The storyline for this book was interesting. I like how Allison remains intertwined in the Danaan world. She doesn’t have a lot of control. She is ready to take some back. It’s a great paranormal story sprinkled with romance, lost loves, and crazy members of the Fae. Allison has to outwit an evil Danaan and take back her life. The story continues in the next book as this one leaves the reader hanging. A battle Royale against Aoife is what Allison seems to be planning. It was a quick read, full of suspense and trickery. I give it a 3 out of 5.
