Airianna lives on the farm with her sisters. She is seeing patterns again and thinks she is going crazy. Her nightmares of her mother’s death are also plaguing her. She is afraid to tell her sisters. She doesn’t want them to think she is crazy like her mother. However her sisters believe the patterns Airianna sees are the air’s way of communicating with her. She is an air element and she can manipulate it. Air warns her and helps her when she needs it.
When men invade the farm and kidnap her, the air around her warns her and helps her fight against the kidnappers. The only thing that stops her is another air element. Maxim Prakenskii was sent to grab Airi and deliver her to her father. He has to protect her from the billionaire Evan Shackler-Gratsos who wants her for her brain. Maxim makes it his mission to protect her and any innocents they encounter.
This is the newest addition to the Sea Haven Series. After Lev and Stephan Prakenskii join the sisters on their farm, the remaining single sisters fear more of the Prakenskii brothers will be thrown in their paths. This is Christine Feehan’s story when Airiana meets Maxim and how they become a team.
I was surprised how easily Airiana gave in when she met Maxim. She doesn’t want anything to do with a Prakenskii brother, yet she trusts him quickly. He ends up being the ultimate hero and tough guy. The abilities Airiana and Maxim possess add a magical aspect to the story. It is true to the storyline of the series and keeps the reader updated on past characters including the Drake sisters. The author also kept the same villainous group after the sisters.
I love these characters and look forward to the next installment. I wonder which sister will fall next and which Prakenskii brother we will meet. I give it a 4 out of 5.
