Few things in life can come between a grim reaper and her coffee, but the sexy, sultry son of Satan is one of them. Now that Reyes Farrow has asked for her hand, Charley Davidson feels it's time to learn more about his past, but Reyes is reluctant to open up. When the official FBI file of his childhood abduction lands in her lap, Charley decides to go behind her mysterious beau’s back and conduct her own investigation. Because what could go wrong?
Unfortunately, another case has fallen into her lap—one with dangerous implications. Some very insistent men want Charley to hunt down a witness who is scheduled to testify against their boss, a major player in the local crime syndicate. If Charley doesn't come up with an address in 48 hours, the people closest to her will start to disappear.
Add to that a desperate man in search of the soul he lost in a card game, a dogged mother determined to find the ghost of her son, and a beautiful, young Deaf boy haunted by his new ability to see the departed as clearly as he sees the living, and Charley has her hands full. The fact that Reyes has caught on to her latest venture only adds fuel to the inferno that he is. Good thing for Charley she's used to multi-tasking and always up for a challenge…especially when that challenge comes in the form of Reyes Farrow.

Toot's Review
HOLY COW DARYNDA!!!!
What a freakin’ ending…….gimme, gimme, gimme #7!!!!
Ok let me calm down a bit, I totally didn’t see that twist coming. Not in a million, bazillion years!!! *grabs more coffee* Holy freakin’ crap on a cracker.
*swigs more coffee* Alrighty, well, now that I’ve got the total shakes – I can focus on the review, LOL. A.D.D much? Why yes, yes I do! Thank you Charlie.
Sixth Grave on the Edge by Darynda Jones is *drum roll please* the 6th installment in her hugely popular, wildly fun and funny, super sexy, PNR with everything thrown in including the kitchen sink. For those that don’t know, Charley is a Grim Reaper and a PI. She and her Scooby gang consisting of family, friends, cops, thugs, the dead and undead help solve whatever mess Charley had gotten into this time. Oh and throw in her smoldering hot, Son of Satan boyfriend Reyes and you have one wild ride that is so worth the price of admission. Anywho, I’m getting off track - damn coffee, damn A.D.D!
In this installment, we pick up right where the fifth book left off. Reyes asked Charley to marry him and now she’s feeling the pressure to give him an answer. Charley also has a mystery to solve, mainly dealing with the naked ghost living in her car and she’s also plotting to help her assistant/BFF and her uncle get together. If that isn’t enough, she’s being threatened by the mob, trying to solve another case involving another dead child, Angel’s mom is sniffing around, there’s a man stealing souls and Reyes is….well……Reyes! Whew, how much more can you cram into a book? Like I told you, everything and the kitchen sink but the ending, OMG!!! I’m totally not going to spoil it but HOLY FREAKIN’ COW!!! What a twist!!!!
Ok, focus now…..as you can tell, I loved this book. I mean really loved this book but it’s not like I don’t love the whole series but I think if I had to pick my favorite out of the entire series, this would be the one. It’s Charley at her best, Reyes is drool worthy as always but he’s just a bit more in this one (there’s this scene, in the rain, with Charley and a classic muscle car and *drools on keyboard, legs go limp, head hits desk, darkness*).
Basically the whole cast of characters are on their A-game.
I loved this book from start to finish. If you haven’t read the Charley Daniel series yet, OMG WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??????? And if you have and of course you are a fan, than get ready for a whopping good time!!!!
