Book Blurb
An unexpected affair leads to mind-blowing harmony in this Sea Breeze novel from New York Times bestselling author Abbi Glines.
Jason is sick of living in his rock star brother’s shadow. So when he ships off to Sea Breeze, Alabama, he’s looking for a much deserved escape and a chance to blow off some envious steam. Falling for the local bad girl was definitely not the plan. But as the new duo enjoys some naughty fun in the Alabama sun, Jason learns that even though Jax is the musician in the family, he’s not the only brother who can rock someone’s world

Toot's Review by Stacy Sabala
Jess is done with her boyfriend. He has cheated on and hurt her for the last time. Now it’s his turn. She is going to hurt him using his truck and a baseball bat.
Jason just happens to be driving by when Jess comes running toward his car begging for a ride home. He is there staying in his brother’s house using the alone time to figure things out. He is not expecting to have a whirlwind adventure with a beautiful girl. They learn that they have friends in common and try to figure each other out as they spend time together.
Jason sees through Jess’ act. He wants her to know that not all guys will treat her like her ex. Jess is confused by Jason. He is nothing like she expected. Yet he is way out of her league and she knows she is just a fling. She knows better but she likes spending time with him.
Jess is insecure about herself and knows things won’t be going anywhere, but realizes it will hurt when it’s over. She is developing feelings for Jason, yet Jason doesn’t want a relationship. He still has to figure out his life.
When Jess has to make a choice, she makes the hardest one she has ever had to, herself for Jason. Hopefully things will work out.
Jess was labeled the bad girl in this story but she had a heart of gold hidden deep down. She played up to the label and appeared to be a tough nut to crack. She had built walls around herself to protect her heart; inside she was an insecure mess. Her character was complex and extremely fascinating to read about.
Jason, in my opinion, was a bit of a wimp. He was not a favorite male lead. He definitely had good and romantic moments, and then he would make decisions that caused more problems than it helped.
I liked the ending, but felt that both characters need help with their stubbornness. It would have made things easier all the way around. Great read which kept me engrossed in the storyline. I give it a 4 out of 5.
