Review : Blood Magic (Soul Tracker #1) by T.G. Ayer (UF)

Book Blurb

"The stranger bowed his head, a little dip that revealed a hint of his eyes behind the tops of his sunglasses, along with a tantalizing few inches of skin at his neckline - skin covered in dark swirling tattoos. My stomach tightened, and I found it a bit hard to breathe. I had to force myself to concentrate when he spoke. "My name is Saleem. I'm assigned to partner Detective Fulbright for a short period of time. I'm sort of on temporary loan." His voice was smooth, liquid gold wrapping itself around me.

He extended his hand and I took it, but instead of shaking it like a normal person would I froze. The rush of sensations that sparked through my fingers wasn't what had caught my attention, though it was strong enough to take my breath away. Although I was primarily a tracker, I possessed additional abilities many other trackers didn't. For instance, I was able to sense the magical ward around my house and would probably know if someone tried to tamper with it. At the moment, the mere touch of my hand to Saleem's told me he was Djinn."

Toot's Review by Stephanie Silva

Mel Morgan is young, feisty and a paranormal tracker. Yes that's right, she is hired be paranormals and humans to find their missing. Here finding accuracy is 99% because one case she been on has never been solved, her little sisters disappearance.

My name is Mel Morgan and I’m a Tracker

The people I help I have no idea I know exactly how they feel because…

I’ve lost someone too

Mel is now your average detective girl, this young woman is feisty and totally bad ass with an attitude that you can’t help but love. She helps not only humans but also paranormal creatures to find missing people. Probably because she knows how it feels to want to find someone you have lost but being unable to do so on your own. This says a lot about her, she has tenacity and quite an emotional side as because under her feisty character and her successful tracker aura she is a sister, one that would do anything to find out what happened to her baby sister after the abduction.

Now she is in a new case. A little girl was kidnapped but this is no ordinary abductions. Hell, no. This is like living again her sister’s case. She will have to venture herself in demon territory and ask for the help of a necromancer if she wasn’t to save the girl’s life. What happens if we add a sexy djin that just get things too hot and complicated to handle. She already has an asshole of a detective on her tail thinking her an accomplice in her parent’s murder and sister kidnapping. She doesn’t need an extra pair of sexy eyes watching her every move but…dangerous and troublesome is her last name after all.

I really loved this book and I would highly recommend it to any paranormal/thriller with a touch of romance fan! Try to read it during the weekend because it surely is a page turner :3

4 STARS!
