Book Blurb & Info
Series: Bad Boys & Wallflowers
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Publisher: Avon Impulse
The second installment of a sexy, whirlwind romance about a modern-day heroine writing historical novels based on her romantic misadventures with the Bad Boy Billionaire.
Being good hasn't exactly worked out well for Jane Sparks. Her ex-boyfriend dumped her for being too predictable, and her fake fiancé, Duke Austen, is counting on her good-girl image to repair his bad-boy reputation. But everything changes with the publication of the historical romance novel she wrote based on her fauxmance with the Bad Boy Billionaire. Suddenly she's notorious, scandalous, and causing lots of trouble.
Duke Austen always admired Jane's poise and perfectly demure behavior … qualities that seemed to have vanished once she helped him land a big investment deal. But now that his company is on the verge of a 20-billion-dollar IPO, the stakes have never been higher—and Jane has never been more shocking, provocative, or wickedly irresistible. She's not at all the woman he bargained for, yet she's the only one he wants.
Duke is determined to woo his girl gone wild. She's determined to keep him guessing. But Jane is discovering that there's nothing so appealing as a billionaire who's mad, bad, and dangerously seductive …
The contemporary love story connected to Wallflower Gone Wild.

3 Reasons to love Duke Austen (The Hero)
#1 Duke Austen is trouble. They don't call him the Bad Boy Billionaire for nothing. The rumors about him are wicked and outrageous, but Jane Sparks finds out they're nothing compared to how he can tempt a girl to abandon the rules and surrender to pleasure.
#2 Duke Austen is tall, dark and handsome. I'll leave it to Jane to describe the bad Boy Billionaire in the moment she first set eyes on him at a party: "His hair was a tousled mess, his jaw was strong and unshaven. It was nearly midnight, but he looked like he'd just rolled out of bed. I easily imaged him as one of the pirates and rogues I read about in historical romance novels. It wasn't just how he looked, either, but the way he moved through the crowd. Really, the man swaggered."
#3 Duke Austen is smart. Really smart. This brilliant tech entrepreneur is a genius coder who has built multiple tech companies. He knows how to hack a love story. Even with all the rumors flying about his bad boy behavior, no one doubts how incredibly intelligent he is. He keeps Jane on her toes, anxious to see what he'll do next.

A fine Fauxmance:
when fake engagement leads to true love with the bad boy billionaire
By Maya Rodale
2. …And continues with a crazy scheme. Jane assumes they’ll tell everyone it’s a prank. Duke has other ideas. He persuades her to fake an engagement—it’ll help him repair his party boy reputation and help him land a huge investment deal. And she’ll score a very hot date to her high school reunion. What could possibly go wrong?
3. But they start falling in love while faking their story. How can she resist his smile—“one of those devastating smiles that were most often found in the pages of romance novels”—when its making her heart beat faster? Jane is unlike any other girl he’s ever met. Not only does he want her, badly, but Duke needs her in ways he never imagined.
4. Kisses. That is all. Kisses. Weak in the knees, leave you breathless, forget your name kisses.
5. What’s real and what’s pretend? Jane would very much like to know because she is seriously falling for the bad boy billionaire. You’ll have to read the book to find out!

Toot's Review
The Bad Boys & Wallflowers series by Maya Rodale is actually 2 totally different series that intermix with each other. The Bad Boys is a Contemporary Romance about an librarian/budding author whom is making her way through life in New York and has gotten into a bit of a pickle with a beautiful billionaire bad boy. The Wallflowers is a Historical Romance shadowing events from BB.So Toot, what are you trying to say?
Well, basically the heroine in BB, Jane, the librarian/author is writing the Wallflowers series in the BB series and Maya Rodale has taken the series idea and written the Wallflowers series as well. In the BB series, the heroine, Jane, has decided to try her hand at being an author. She's always loved HR but has put the book on the back burner until she gets an idea and decides to incorporate her own life's events into the book. By doing this, she finds instant fame but didn't think it out very well and now her friends, family and lovers are caught up in a scandal of epic proportions. "Is art imitating fiction"?
The BB series should be read in order, it's more a serial whereas the Wallflowers can be read as stand alone.
All in all, the series is cute and cleverly written on both ends of the spectrum. It's the ultimate romance fan's dream come true. Not only are you treated with great characters, hunky men and bodice rippers but you also get the modern day and early day versions of a similar story. Oh and did I say, LOVED IT!!!
