Book Blurb
Until he makes it clear she isn’t who he’s looking for.
Tyra slinks away from his bed, humiliated. The problem is, he’s her new boss. She just may or may not have forgotten to tell him that part.
Kane “Tack” Allen has a rule. He doesn’t employ someone he’s slept with. And he lets Tyra know that in his motorcycle man way. Tyra fights for her job and wins it using sass and a technicality. Tack challenges her that if she hits his bed one more time, she loses her job.
Tyra is determined to keep her job and keep away from Tack. But she makes a big mistake. During their head-to-heads, she lets it all hang out and shows Tack she is who he’s looking for. And Tack has had a good woman slip through his fingers, he’s not about to let that happen again.
Although Tack colors Tyra’s world with a vibrancy that’s blinding, being with him means she has to live in his Motorcycle Club world. Full on, no holds barred. And since Tack’s world, not to mention Tack, is a little scary, Tyra isn’t so sure.
It's Tack's job to convince her.
Toot's Review by Stacy Sabala
Tyra has jumped off the roller coaster which was her life and decided she needed a new direction. She quit her job and found another one. Her new job is the position of office manager at Ride, a motorcycle and custom car shop. The weekend before she starts, she attends a party held by the bikers that run the shop. She sets eyes on Tack, the leader of the Chaos Motorcycle Club. He fits the bill of her dream man and he is it as far as she is concerned. They hook up that night and the next morning he asked her to leave her number as he left the room. He basically kicked her out of his bed without a backwards glance or a kiss good bye. She was shocked and hurt. Apparently he wasn’t what she thought. In fact Monday morning as she arrived for her first day, she sees Tack kissing his latest conquest good bye. Tyra is beyond angry and if she didn’t need the job she tell him what she thought of him. Tack was not happy to see her and told her she couldn’t work for him. She went toe to toe with him and won back her job but the game between them had begun. He is determined to get her back into his bed. Tyra is determined to never have it happen again. He is a complete jerk.
Tyra is introduced to the life of a motorcycle club. The longer she works there the more she is pulled into that life and Tack’s life. She becomes a target for his ex-wife and the Russian Mob. She was tired of her black and white life and wanted color. Be careful what you wish for.
I love the books that this author writes. This is the third one that I have read. I intend to read them all. It is fascinating to see how the author creates and conveys the biker life of the Chaos Club.
I liked Tyra’s character and how she struggled to fit into the world that Tack lived in. Her big heart attracts Tack and gives him patience when she freaks out. The story humanizes bikers for me. I always thought of them as scary. I find their loyalty and way of life extremely interesting. I really like the community that the author developed, the issues that the club faced and the family problems that became apparent. I give it a 4 out of 5.
