Toot's Review

Well here I am again with another review for you. I just finished the last book in the Blackstone Affair series called Eyes Wide Open. If you haven’t read this series, here’s a quick synopsis. Model and Art Conservator, Brynne Bennett, is being stalked by someone from her past. Someone who either contributed or wants buried a horrific event that happened to her in her youth. Her father has hired an elite security agency, headed by the super sexy, super military type, CEO Ethan Blackstone. As the trilogy progresses, so does their danger and their love affair. Ethan has his own demons he’s battling as well as his increasing obsession with the lovely model.

In this last installment, all the loose ends from the previous books are tied up. We find out more about Ethan’s past, who’s stalking Brynne and lastly, will and can these two have a HEA?

Well of course they end up with a HEA, I mean really…is that even a question, LOL. Ok all kidding aside, this was a wonder wrap up to this sexy, sexy trilogy. I did love the story even though this trilogy could possibly fall into the erotica/billionaire/CR genre. Yes, we have the typical Alpha Male and yes, he’s a CEO with lots of money but unlike the other books in this genre, the heroine is accomplished in her own right and has her own demons to battle. The two characters are completely broken when they meet but are slowly on the mend. Ethan and Brynne complete each other as a couple and eventually, together, they start to heal along the way to their unexpected HEA. I do wish there was a little bit more in the epilogue and the pacing was a little hurried at the end. I kept looking at the book wondering how this was all going to wrap up in the allotted time or pages left till the end but the ending was satisfying and I loved some of the unexpected things Brynne does. She should be MI6, LOL. If you want super sexy lovin’ many times over, super Alpha Males, sexy models, fun friends, family and fate. Give this trilogy a try.
