In the Arena, you're either a killer or a victim.
If survival meant murdering an innocent person in cold blood every week, could you do it? Are you able to stick the knife into your opponent's heart while they look at you with fear in their eyes? Life in the Arena turns everyone into sinners.
A homeless boy is kidnapped from the streets and finds himself imprisoned in a far more horrifying place: The Arena, a place where teenage boys fight to the death for the pleasure of various lowlifes.
The Arena is the brainchild of Ryker, an ex-convict addicted to alcohol, gladiatorial-esque combats, and money. When not devising new ways for boys to kill each other, he’s ruling his small empire with a ruthless fist, rewarding his guards with sex slaves and punishing those who oppose him with barbaric executions.
Renamed Dog, the boy from the street proves to be an excellent fighter and finds himself surviving week after week, but as he leaves a trail of bodies in his wake, the ghosts of slain boys haunt him and the violence threatens to wake a beast inside him.
Allegra, a slave girl in the Arena and a victim of Ryker's constant abuse, is his only key to salvation. She has lost everything already -- her family, her innocence, and her dignity -- while her will to live hangs on by a thin thread. Can she save Dog's humanity before she too succumbs to the horrors of the Arena?
Seeking to defy Ryker as Dog rises to power as his champion, the stage is set for something to give in this murderous world of young combatants.
A tale about survival, tragedy, and human perseverance, the Complete SHADOW OF WRATH is the first book in the Sins of the 7 series.

Top 5 Things You Don’t know About L.W. Patricks
1) I’m a classically trained pianist and I like to unwind by improvising music on my piano. I do have some stuff recorded, but a lot of times I forget what I improvised the very next day.2) I’m an avid soccer player, though that same sport has given me a fractured skull, dislocated shoulder, and ruptured Achilles tendon. It’s probably time I quit.
3) I did my own cover for Shadow of Wrath after my wife gave me a quick tutorial on Photoshop. I’m one of those guys that loves learning new things, especially anything to do with arts.
4) On that note, I’m actually an engineer. It’s a little difficult sometimes switching from the left to the right side of my brain seeing as how both math and arts utilize different regions of it.
5) At any given time, I have around 5 or 6 ideas for stories floating around in my brain. Currently I have two on my plate, Awake the Ghosts, which serves as the follow up to Shadow of Wrath. As well, because of a lost bet, I’m finishing up an erotic scifi fiction story. However I decided to spin this negative into a positive and I’m putting all my literary efforts into this novella entitled City of Indecency. I’ll probably be using a different pen name though =P.
Top 5 Things You don’t know about Shadow of Wrath
1) I originally started writing Awake the Ghosts first, and realized that I needed to give the world it’s set in a much deeper history. However it was too many words to cram into a single novel, thus I began writing Shadow of Wrath to explore this world and the horrors of Bimini, the dead city.
2) My ending changed significantly from what I originally plotted out. After writing much of the book, there was only one way the story could end that made the most sense and brought the right characters out into the spotlight.
3) I often get tweets from readers while they read the book saying, “Wtf, did that just happen?” or something along those lines. The book does have a few twists in it. Not for the feint of heart.
4) In the second epilogue of the book, the last sentence has some hidden meanings to it. It serves as a major plotline moving forward in the rest of the Sins of the Seven series.
5) There will be a few key characters that “survive” this book that will return in the next book Awake the Ghosts.
