Noah (Nightwalkers, Book 5)
After reading and reviewing almost all the books in the series (this is 5 out of 6 currently), I was probably anticipating this story the most. From book 1 - Jacob, I really liked King Noah the most out of all the characters thus far and I really wanted him to have a great HEA although by the middle of this book, I wanted to ring his ever loving neck and was wishing him to the bowels of Hades. To say Noah goes off the rails in the book is putting it mildly but let's just say that once he sets his sights on something (Kestra), there is no one and nothing that will get in his way but I guess that's why he's the Demon King? Although like any good HEA story, he does eventually find redemption with his lady love. I wasn't sure how much I'd like Kestra as our heroine but she's very sassy and I like that she's a mercenary. All hinting without spoilers aside, I did actually very much enjoy this book. The story flows nicely. The main characters have good continuity and back story along with the secondary characters from previous books woven throughout to move the main plot along and we even have new adversaries besides Ruth, which is a refreshing change. There's also a great plot twist early on that tests Jacob, Bella, Leah and Noah's relationship that you won't see coming. All in all, I think I enjoyed this book most of all out of the series so far.
