Book Blurb
It was supposed to be simple. Find the bad guy and save the girl.
I hadn’t expected Race True—a golden-haired beauty with a silver tongue that made me want to toss the rules aside.
I tried to fight my attraction to her, but she made it impossible.
Our chemistry became too much to ignore.
Temptation is dangerous.
In a moment of weakness, everything changed. We gave in to our carnal desires, letting ourselves drown in the passion we could no longer deny.
The problem was that I still had a job to do before her world collapsed.
If I failed at finding the person behind the threat, I’d lose Race forever.

Toot's Review
Sinful Intent by Chelle Bliss is her first addition to a series spin off of her widely popular Men of Inked series or as fans like to say “The Gallos” *wink*. This time its cousin Morgan’s turn. Morgan has just returned from serving in the military for 8 years to become a civilian again. He’s landed in Chicago with his adorable Ma. He wants to reconnect with his family, so the pair take a family vaca to visit the Gallo’s in Florida. Two of the series regulars, Thomas and James, have gone into business with each other to start a PI agency and are swamped with requests for their services and they desperately need help. The two men decide to keep it in the family and recruit their MIA cousin. Morgan is eager to start his new life, so with Ma in tow, he agrees to join ALFA and move to Florida. Morgan’s first case with ALFA is the beautiful, powerful, corporate executive Race True who is being threatened via emails with something that can ruin her corporate persona if it got out. Morgan and Race fall into insta-love while trying to solve the mystery to keep her safe. Toss in the hotness of the Gallo family, sex abounds and so does the danger. Mix it all together and you have one wild ride!
This was a mixed bag for me. I love Chelle Bliss, I love the Gallos, I loved the story and for being a romantic suspense, it was a bit predictable. The set up is the typical hot guys start a protection/PI firm and each one will have a mystery to solve and will find their lady love who will fix the broken man who protects them…..blah, blah, blah. So if you didn’t know what book you got or genre, there ya go! With that being said, I still love this type of romance. I always love a little mystery with my romance. What set this one apart from the typical set up are the characters. For fans of the Gallo’s, you’ll be happy to see all your favs reappear and get updates on their lives. You’ll also get some fun and crazy sexiness from the couples as well.
As for our main characters that the story revolves around, I loved Morgan and his “momma’s boy” ways. I mean who doesn’t love a man who knows how to be his own man and be a good boy to his momma? Also he’s hot as Hades but I would have liked to see his background skills that he gain from the military and his juvenile delinquency come into play more as he solved the mystery. It seemed to me that all he did is follow some bread crumbs that Race offered up and made a few phone calls. As for Race, well let’s just say I didn't really get her as a character. She says she has to come off bitchy to be successful in the corporate world and it isn't till the end that we break through her walls to get to the sassiness that is Race. I didn't really think she came off bitchy as more snarky. She was also full of insecurity even though she was put together on the outside. So I didn't have that much of an issue with her attitude as some but what got me was her helplessness when she had a flat tire. I mean really, you want me to buy that she grew up around cars and can't change a tire or use Fix-A-Flat? Yeah didn't buy that scene at all! I knew why it was written that way (to set up the scenario) but it was just out of character for me but other than that little nit-pic, it was a fine contemporary romance with some mystery thrown in.
All in all a good start to a new spin-off series.
