Book Blurb
The ride of her life . . .
Once upon a time, Carissa Teodoro believed in happy endings. Money, marriage, motherhood: everything came easy---until she woke up to the ugly truth about her Prince Charming. Now a struggling, single mom and stranded by a flat tire, Carissa's pondering her mistakes when a vaguely familiar knight rides to her rescue on a ton of horsepower.
Climb on and hold tight . . .
In high school, Carson Steele was a bad boy loner who put Carissa on a pedestal where she stayed far beyond his reach. Today, he's the hard-bodied biker known only as Joker, and from the way Carissa's acting, it's clear she's falling fast. While catching her is irresistible, knowing what to do with her is a different story. A good girl like Carissa is the least likely fit with the Chaos Motorcycle Club. Too bad holding back is so damned hard. Now, as Joker's secrets are revealed and an outside threat endangers the club, Joker must decide whether to ride steady with Carissa---or ride away forever . . .

Toot's Review by Stacy Sabala
Carson Steele has a horrible father who makes his life hell. He is just biding his time until he is eighteen and can get out of there. The only light he sees is watching Carissa from afar. She has lost a lot and could be a total bitch but she isn’t. She is nice to everyone and Carson really digs her. So when things happen sooner than Carson expected, Carissa is the last person he sees. He wasn’t planning it but he is glad nonetheless. She tells him he deserves a good life and she hopes he finds it.
Eight years later Carson is in the Chaos Motorcycle Club with the call of Joker. He has his brothers and has found his place. So he is shocked when one day he stops to help a woman holding a baby at the side of the road. It’s Carissa and she doesn’t recognize him. He can also tell she hasn’t gotten the life he knew she deserved. He is determined to offer her more help than just fixing her flat tire.
Carissa is thankful for Joker stopping to help when no one else would. She is struggling to keep herself afloat as she takes care of her son and fights her ex-husband. So she is surprised when Chaos accepts her into their fold. As time goes on she learns more about Chaos and Joker. She also starts to heal Joker as their relationship evolves. Now if she could get her ex to leave her alone and everything in her life sorted. Unfortunately that isn’t going to happen soon when her ex-husband’s family are out for blood.
I love this series. I have read several books and have entered into the Chaos world. I truly love the characters that live there. The members of Chaos are loyal and have huge hearts. The club actually is trying to stay clean and on the up and up. I like the idea of that.
The author tries to make it authentic with how they talk and the way they do things. It takes a little time to get used to the biker speak but it works with the story. I can just picture sitting in the compound and listening to these conversations as I read the story.
You are completely pulled in and become part of it. Those types of books are my favorite. This author does a great job of that. She also has created such a cast of likable characters that I like to visit with each book. I am always excited to receive the next book. I love Carson and Carissa. I definitely give this book a 4 out of 5.
