Alexandra Monzelle is a detective in Seattle. She is good at her job and has made it her life’s mission to put away bad guys. Her father is in prison for dealing drugs and murder. He is the reason she does what she does.
Now there is a new drug on the streets called Apollo. It makes the users feel like gods but then kills them by burning them up from the inside out. Titans of Fire Motorcycle Club are suspected of dealing Apollo and Lexi goes undercover trying to flush out the dealers. She comes face to face with Fire member Kellach Dunne.
Kellach Dunne is not all that he appears to be. He is a Realm Enforcer and witch. His is trying to find out who is manufacturing Apollo and put a stop to it. He knows that Seattle is a testing ground for the drug. Its ultimate use will be a weapon used against witches.
Unfortunately Detective Monzelle keeps getting in the way of his investigation. Then things get really complicated when he accidentally mates with her. He is beside himself trying to do his job and keep Alexandra safe. Lexi is also struggling to do her job, keep her family safe and learn to trust Kellach.
This is a new series by a great author. I have read and loved several of her other books and was excited to get my hands on this one. I was not disappointed. This story was awesome. I love the characters instantly. The chemistry between Kellach and Alexandra was hot and immediate. They battled for control which was fun to watch. Then add his brothers, the Grizzlies and the rest of the paranormal members of the Realm and things get really interesting.
The new world of paranormal beings the author presented was fascinating. I am excited to read more. The mystery in this book kept me interested from the beginning and I was shocked by the end. I truly wasn’t expecting the twist. This is a great story and appears to be a thrilling series. I definitely recommend it. I give it a 5 out of 5.
