Toot's Review by Stacy Sabala

Maggie Masters has been waiting for graduation day so she could be done. It wasn’t always like that but when her mother decided one day to leave and take all the money, things just crumbled around her.

After graduation and dealing with her dad, she refuses to stay home and watch him fall further into his catatonic state. She didn’t know that this night was going to change her life forever. She ends up saving the life of a cute college boy when she yanks him back from getting hit by a car. He offers to walk her to her destination. She is drawn to him. When she shakes his hand and introduces herself, she gets these visions of herself with a brown haired boy. The boy, Caleb, holding her hand also has visions and knows he is imprinting. Maggie is his soul-mate. She is thrown into a new world as a result. She needs to be near Caleb and he needs her as much.

When a rival clan becomes jealous of Caleb and Maggie’s imprint, things get dangerous. They try to kidnap Maggie trying to keep them from ascending.

I loved this book. The idea of a significant is intriguing. The story of Maggie and Caleb was a sigh worthy journey. They were imprinted early on and Maggie was pulled into a new world of special abilities. She handles it beautifully. She is a great heroine for the story. You feel sorry for her in the beginning with her family issues and her ex-boyfriend. She has separated herself from her previous life. She has no idea what direction her life is going to go now especially since her father has also cut himself off from life and drowning in his self-pity and depression.

Then you have Caleb and his huge family. They aren’t human. They have special abilities after they find their significants and ascend. Once he finds Maggie, their relationship is sweet and intense within days. I loved reading how they were together. This first book was a fabulous read. I absolutely loved it. I give it a 5 out of 5.
