I love Torin St. James...
I need his strength…
But someone from his past wants me dead.
Raine Cooper is certain of two things: her love for Torin St. James and her destiny to be a powerful seeress. But when she starts having premonitions, they are unclear and disturbing. Worse, they involve Torin. With her mother gone, her father dying, and her best friend in Hel, she is not sure who to talk to.
But when the visions become more personal and she foresees her future with Torin threatened by someone from his past, Raine becomes desperate for answers. Just her luck two new students arrive at her school and they seem to have answers. When with them, her powers are enhanced and her visions become clear. There is only one problem: Torin forbids Raine to see the two girls.
Can their love survive without trust?

Toot's Review by Stacy Sabala
Raine is back and a Seeress who hasn’t had a vision. Her mother wants to rejoin the Valkries and is sequestered until her hearing. Her father is suffering from brain cancer and she is slowly losing him. He refuses to let her touch him because he doesn’t want her to see his future. She can’t see anything, in fact she has yet to have a vision.
After Torin finds his family amulet Raine has her first vision. It is hazy and she can’t really see what is happening but she can hear it. A seeress is killed when she won’t tell the information wanted. Raine is confused about this vision and begins having more. Someone who looks like Torin is going around killing seeresses.
Of course Raine knows Torin isn’t the one doing it. Then witches invade the town. Something big is about to happen and Raine is the reason. She is coming into her powers and learning without the help of her mother and Lavania her teacher.
The Norns are still playing with her life with Torin and allowing what is happening to play out. When the truth comes out who is behind everything, Torin and Raine are shocked. Then old friends and new friends join the battle. Raine learns what powers she can now draw upon and old enemies have to work together for a common evil.
I absolutely love this series. I have read every book so far. It keeps getting better and better. I love Raine’s character. She is smart and struggling with her new found abilities. It’s fun to read how she learns by trial and error what she can do. She is relatable and likable. Her reactions to Torin’s overprotectiveness are comical at times.
The other characters are fabulous. I have to really like the characters a lot to like the series as much as I do. The author has created a great storyline and a world of magic that includes Gods, Immortals, Valkyries, Griminirs, witches, seeresses and mortals. Raine and Torin continue to fight to be together and create their own path. I give it a 5 out of 5.

WARNING: This is CORA'S story: This book may be considered NA (new adult) because it contains some swearing, violence and sex scenes: Suitable for ages 17 and up. A Clean Version will also be available on Amazon.
Eighteen-year-old Cora Jemison knows what it’s like to date a soul reaper. There are no Friday night movies, no school dances, and no stolen kisses between classes. It totally sucks! What makes it even worse, souls pop up when she least expects it. The last one is not her fault, but it all adds up to zero quality time with her super hot, scythe-carrying boyfriend, Echo.
Since Cora was etched with special runes by an evil Immortal, she understands why souls are drawn to her. She makes the best of it by helping souls find closure while Echo escorts them to the realm of the dead. Perfect partners, until a dark soul visits Cora in the dead of the night and Echo decides her soul-helping days are over.
Cora can either listen to Echo or follow her instincts. To make matters worse, other reapers start stalking her, demanding she hand over the soul. Even her Valkyrie friends think she’s gone too far. But something sinister is coming their way, and the soul is the key to saving her town, her friends, and her relationship with Echo. Can she convince Echo to see things her way before it’s too late?

Toot's Review by Stacy Sabala
Cora sees lost souls and tries to help them find peace before her boyfriend Echo reaps them. She seems to be a beacon. One night a dark soul approaches her for help. It looks to be Devyn, an old friend of Echo’s who betrayed their people. Echo was forced to punish the immortal.
Now Dev is wanting Cora for help. He searches her out and takes over her cell phone. Cora decides helping Dev will help Echo, so she is ready to get to the bottom of what is really going on.
Dev comes to her aid when another dark soul tries to possess her. More and more dark souls are stalking Cora. Something evil is after her. The Valkyries and the Griminirs join forces to protect her.
When an enemy from the past is revealed everyone is shocked. Cora is surrounded by those she helps and those she loves. They protect her from the threat of the dark.
I love this series and the Runes series. Echo and Cora are two of my favorite characters. He is the ultimate bad boy but he is completely devoted to Cora. Their relationship is sweet and totally what every girl dreams of. Echo would do anything for her. She is his top priority. Completely sigh-worthy.
In this book we learn a little more about Echo and what happened in his past. The author continues to introduce interesting characters and harrowing situations that the group has to overcome. They band together and fight for what is right, protecting each other like family.
I recommend this book and the entire series for that matter. It is a fabulous story with great characters. I give it a 5 out of 5.
