HOW HAD THIS happened?
Where did it all go so wrong?
Jethro was supposed to love me. I was supposed to love him.

“Know what time it is, Nila Weaver?” Daniel breathed in my ear.

Alright, where do I begin? My head is swimming after this latest installment from Pepper Winters – Third Debt (Indebted #4). If you’re following this amazing story, you already know that this story is seriously unlike anything else out there but for those that don’t, let me give you a bit of a series synopsis.

First, we have our heroine Nila Weaver. She’s been gifted to Jethro Hawk in an age old tradition dating back hundreds of years between the two families to pay back a wrong done to their ancestors. Nila, when we first meet her, is pretty much a fashionista with a loving father and twin brother until the day, they give her to the Hawk family to pay a debt she knew nothing about. As the books progress, Nila truly grows into a formittable who might just be able to put a stop to the debt legacy one and for all. As the books and debts go on, so do the degrees of the debts to be paid back from the Weaver to the Hawk, everything from a whipping to drowning and gang rape but in the chaos, love has bloomed. Jethro and Nila have found a soul-mate in each other until Nila was rescued from the Hawks in the last installment and this is where book 4 picks up.

Nila has been whisked away by the police who were forced to step in due to public pressure. Nila’s brother has launched social and public warfare on the Hawks in order to get his twin sister back and rescue her from the hell he knows she’s enduring but little did he know that rescuing her before the debts are paid will have dire consequences and eventually Nila will have to go back if she wants to rescue Jethro from the clutches of a mad man, his own father.

As Nila plots her return, Jethro is doing everything he can to survive and protect Nila even if that means risking himself in the process. How far is Jethro willing to take it to protect Nila? Would he turn on his family? Become a man more loathsome then his father? Or is he willing to pay the ultimate price to nullify the debts and would it even work? Only time will tell or reading this installment, bwahahahaha. This installment is a game-changer, literally. We finally learn Jethro and the Hawk family secrets but in doing so, everyone and everything is at risk, then mix in a crazy-a$ father, brother and grandmother including the next debt and you have one hell of a story to be told!

Wow, now with that mindboggling, cryptic synopsis, let me just say……..crap on a cracker, Christ on a crutch, WTF just happened!?!?! Seriously!!! One minute I’m cheering, the next I want to b*tch-slap someone, anyone, everyone……..the next I’m in awe, then I’m like….alrighty then…….then I’m like awwwwww love is awesome, then BAM, WTF!!!!! And OMFG……NO!!!!!!!

Seriously a series hasn’t messed with my emotions this much since…..well crap, probably J.R. Ward’s The Shadows, seriously I balled like a freakin’ baby but I digress, Pepper did what Pepper does and pulled out her pimp hand and slapped the sh*t out of me…….and you know what, I turned around and asked like the orphan Oliver “Please Sir, may I have more?”. Dude there is something seriously wrong with me or maybe right because I can’t get enough of the indebted series. It’s like book crack for the brain. Seriously addicting and there’s no breaking it until the end of the journey.
