Book Excerpt

“Are your scars burning you again, Camille?” His throaty voice teased her senses into a frenzy as he sealed the small chasm between them. He’d leaned in so close, her back arched to its limit.

“No.” She licked her dry lips. “Something else is.”

“Do you need me?” he whispered by her ear.

“Yes,” she murmured, breathless.

“Here I am.”

His lips skimmed over her mouth, from corner to corner, and returned to center. They were cool, soft, insistent, and giving all at the same time. Her eyes fluttered closed as she gave in to her own fantasies. She parted her lips, needing to see if he tasted like the cake batter scent announcing his presence. Confusion quickly set in. A buzzing energy blossomed on her skin, but rather than pain, a light tingling sensation emerged. She moaned.

Synn growled low and long, and tore his lips away. He cupped her face in his hands. “I’ll slay every damn one of these beasts for you. I swear it, Camille.”

He kissed her again, feverishly, as though he had to prove his worth.

Demons and Desserts

With a title like Demon a la Mode, it’s hard to think of anything else but a sexy demon who’s as delicious as any pie a la mode. So, I got to thinking. Why not share devilish ‘a la mode’ desserts that I absolutely adore?

My first offering must be the warm Deep Dish Chocolate Chip Cookie w/vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and chocolate syrup on top.

The second place offering is the Molten Lava Cake, a la mode, with luscious chocolate oozing out of the center as the fork cuts smoothly through the cake.

Coming in third is Bananas Foster- tender, sliced bananas sautéed in butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, dark rum, and banana liqueur. Then, they’re topped with vanilla ice cream.

Now, to pair these delectable desserts with a scrumptious hero! How about a demon that’s as hot as a hero can be? Enter Synn, ICE demon. Wait, an ICE demon who’s HOT? Absolutely! See for yourself…
